We are passionate about getting students to read. Reading strengthens the brain, builds vocabulary, encourages empathy and can reduce stress!
We want all of our students to develop a reading habit. To this end we have incorporated silent reading during morning tutorials, library lessons and set reading targets.
We have a four tiered reading award called Reading Journeys.
There are four Reading Journeys: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. You can view the lists here:
All Year 7s start at Bronze and we aim for everyone to have completed all four tiers before they leave Lady Nafisa School. You can read more about our Reading strategy here.
